Love Is A Number
'Love Is A Number' attempts to explain the relationship between the irrational and the rational by using maths as a way to calculate your chances of falling in love in London on a random night out. Using a 'performance lecture' format, I ask people to think differently about how maths and chance directly impact on our lives, contrasting our deeply irrational human emotion of hope with the logical and slim chances that statistics present to us. A light-hearted take on our desperate search for love, it was the first part of a 'love' trilogy, which deconstructs love using maths, chemistry (Love Is A Chemical Reaction) and biology (Love Is A Virus- in development).
Previous showings:
June 2011 As part of 'poolside emergency @ The Bluecoat, Liverpool
June 2011 As part of 'Out @ The Core', Corby, Northamptonshire
Oct 2010 Vauxhall Griffin
Aug 2010 Old Joint Stock Theatre and the Library theatre, as part of Birmingham Council's Artsfest weekend

Love Is A Number was also published as an article in Gay Times in March 2011.
