Meat directed by Michael David Jones
'Meat' was a short film directed by fellow performance artist Michael David Jones. This film is based around the concept of sado-masochistic fantasy. The passive subject longs to be abused by his aggressor, reduced to a piece of meat. The white of his briefs also symbolises some kind of sullied innocence. With powerful connotations of homosexual relationships and the 'blood fear', it is a challenging film that was used as part of a multidisciplinary performance, and was consequently screened around Europe.
